Kotoko sack midfielder Muniru Sulley

Asante Kotoko SC have announced they have terminated their contract agreement with midfielder Muniru Sulley.

Muniru, 28, who is the younger brother of former Inter Milan and A.C Milan player Sulley Muntari joined the Porcupine Warriors in November 2020 on a two-year deal on a free transfer.

According to a club statement, the termination does not come with any compensation now or in the future.

Muniru returned to the Ghana Premier League after eight years where he left Liberty Professionals to join Romanian top-flight league side CFR Cluj.

The former Ghana U-17 midfielder was unattached after ending his spell with Russian club Tambov.

previously featured for FCSB, Tondela, Yeni Malatyaspor and Dinamo Minsk.

He has also had stints with FCSB, Tondela, Yeni Malatyaspor and Dinamo Minsk.

Muniru made five appearances for the Porcupines with one start in the goalless drawn game with WAFA in Sogakope but suffered a head injury.
