1 min read

Erstwhile Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Eric Nii Baah has returned to the Ghanaian giants, according to Myfabulousonline.

Nii Baah, one of the best goalkeepers to have played for the Reds left in 2010, but has been appointed as the reserve team goalkeeper’s trainer for the upcoming season.

Currently, the hierarchy of the club has started some restructuring which has affected the technical team.

Johnson Smith who joined the club from Karela United in 2019 ahead of their Caf Confederation Cup and Akapo Patron who came in 2017 during the era of Steve Pollack have been moved to the reserve team as head coach and assistant respectively.

Nii Baah until his appointment was the goalkeeper’s trainer at lower-tier side Phar Rangers.

He is a former Black Meteors goalie. He also had incredible spells with BA United and New Edubiase United.

He is therefore expected to help the youth side with his enormous experience and expertise.

Maxwell Konafu remains the head of the first team and he will be assisted by Abdulai Gazelle, with Black Stars goalkeeper’s trainer Najahu Issah heading that unit.
