The Ghana Premier League star wants to continue his impressive form from last season as he hopes to fulfil his aims for the season
Aduana Stars attacker, Yahaya Mohammed has disclosed a set of targets for the upcoming 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.
The 32-year-old has been impressive since joining the Fire boys. The former Asante Kotoko striker placed second in the top scorers chart in the truncated 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season.
Prior to the commencement of the cancelled league, the lanky striker targeted 21 goals, but netted 11 goals in 15 games and earned a Black Stars’ call-up as well.
According to Yahsya Mohammed, his target for the new season slated for November 13, 2020 is unchanged.
“My target for the upcoming season is still unchanged. Last season, my aim was to win the goal King, win the league with Aduana Stars, earn a Black Stars call-up and if I get a lucrative deal outside I probably move, ” he told Hello FM.
“And by God’s grace, I nearly achieved all had it not been for the outbreak of the COVID-19.”
Football activities were frozen in mid-March due to the Coronavirus breakout.
However, during the 17th address on the deadly disease by H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, the ban on football was lifted and was approved to restart in October 30.
The Ghana Football Association in consultation with stakeholders have tentatively set November 13,2020 to commence the new season.
