Kotoko-Strike deal not terminated

Ghanaian representative for Sportswear Manufacturing firm Strike, Yusif Alhassan Chibsah has debunked media reports suggesting that their Sponsorship deal with Asante Kotoko has been terminated.

Reports emerged Monday morning that the Porcupine Warriors have cancelled the existing deal with the Portuguese Sportswear manufacturer on mutual consent.

However, Yusif Chibssh has disclosed that he has held a meeting with the new Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko Nana Yaw Amponsah and both parties agreed that the deal should continue till it expires.

“It’s not true Asante Kotoko has terminated Strike sponsorship deal, I have met with the new CEO on the deal and both parties are okay and happy which will continue till its expiry date so I am surprised hearing such stories, ” he told Oyerepa FM.

Unless these rumours are something new coming up, ” he added.

Asante Kotoko penned a three-year deal with Strike in November 2018, and it is expected to expire next year.
