Sports Minister joins GFA and stakeholders to intercede for Black Stars

In order to spiritually fortify the Ghana Black Stars players and their coaches for the 2026 FIFA World Cup battle, Sports and Recreation Minister, GFA President together with the clergy and entire nation have held a prayer and fasting service for team Ghana.

Last Sunday at the All Anglican Church in Accra, President Kurt Okraku and Honourable Kofi Iddi Adams joined Anglican Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Daniel Slyvanus as well as other Christian belivers to intercede for the Black Stars.

Kurt Okraku was so happy with the prayer session and believe it will strengthen Ghana for success in USA, Canada and Mexico.

“Together with my sector Minister, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, we led a delegation from the Football Association and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation at the All Anglican Church, Adabraka, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, for a solemn national interdenominational thanksgiving and prayer service in support of Ghana’s football aspirations, particularly the Black Stars’ journey to the 2026 FIFA World Cup”.

“I extend my sincere gratitude to Rt. Rev. Dr. Daniel Sylvanus Torto, Anglican Bishop of Accra, and the distinguished Bishops for their continuous prayers, guidance, and unwavering support for Ghana football’

“Together, through faith, unity, and determination, we remain hopeful for success for the Black Stars and the continued growth of our game” GFA President Kurt Okraku noted.
