Ghanaian mining giants, GoldFields Ghana Limited, has agreed a two-year sponsorship deal worth USD 5 million with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
With this lucrative deal, GoldFields Ghana Limited has become an official partner of Ghana Football for the next 24 months.
GFA President Kurt Okraku who witnessed the mouthwatering partnership signing in Accra on Friday, May 8, 2026 and received the USD 5 million cheque on behalf of the GFA was full of gratitude about the fresh deal.

He is more convinced it will go a very long way to help the development of Ghana Football especially our national teams in diverse ways.
“This significant investment will support the Black Stars, Black Queens, the Women’s Premier League and the Black Challenge – strengthening the growth of women’s football and para-sports in Ghana.

“The partnership also rekindles a historic relationship that played an important role in our football journey more than two decades ago, when Gold Fields supported the Black Stars during a defining period in Ghana football history.
“I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my brother, Elliot Twum, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Gold Fields Ghana, and his entire team for their continuous commitment and support towards the growth and development of Ghana football.

“Together, we continue to build for the future of the game in Ghana,” said the GFA President Kurt Okraku.
