Reports from his camp in Tottenham indicates Kudus is set for a surgery. This development has exerted pressure on many Ghanaians including the GFA members as they believe Kudus absence can have adverse effect on the Black Stars World Cup chances.

The Black Stars made their FIFA World Cup debut in 2006 and reached the 1/16th stage.

They got to the quarter finals four years later in South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Their last two appearances in Brazil 2014 and Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup were disastrous. The Black Stars were shown the exit at the group stage in both tournaments.

This time around they are drawn in Group L together with Panama, England and Croatia. The Black Stars are hoping to deliver success in the competition that will be hosted by three great nations – USA, Canada and Mexico.
