2023 Afcon: West Brom forward Brandon Thomas-Asante named in Ghana’s provisional squad

West Bromwich Albion center forward, Brandon Thomas-Asante has been included in Chris Hughton’s preliminary squad list for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which is set to take place in early 2023.

Thomas-Asante is expected to receive recognition for his outstanding play at West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship since the previous season, including a possible call-up to the continental championship.

The 25-year-old, who was born in England to Ghanaian parents, has made 21 appearances for West Bromwich Albion in all competitions this season, tallying two assists and seven goals.

To represent Ghana internationally, Thomas-Asante has already finished changing his nationality.

The Black Stars technical team, lead by Chris Waddle, provided a list of fifty-five (55) players, which the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has already submitted.
