Togbe Afede XIV, the board chairman and majority shareholder of Hearts of Oak, has disclosed the club’s ambitious plan to build a 25,000-seater capacity stadium following the completion of the Pobiman project.
During a stakeholders meeting held in Accra last week, Togbe Afede shared the exciting news. He emphasized the club’s commitment to enhancing its infrastructure, including the establishment of its own match venue.
Addressing the development, Togbe Afede stated, “What the club lacked was infrastructure and we are on track towards fulfilling that. After the Pobiman is done, the only thing we will not have is a big stadium. CAF requires minimum 25,000 seater capacity stadium so after all this (Pobiman project), that’s the next thing to do.”
Highlighting the proactive approach of the board, he added, “The board as visionary and future oriented as it is have already looking for a land for that stadium”
Hearts of Oak has already transitioned to their modern training facility in Pobiman. The facility boasts a standard-size artificial pitch, four natural grass pitches, a substantial swimming pool, and various other sports amenities, including a Tennis Court. Additionally, the site features a spacious Golf Course, a striking fountain, and comfortable Hostel facilities.
