Berekum Chelsea’s striker, Kalo Ouattara, has completed his transfer to Asante Kotoko, signing a three-year contract.
Local transfer expert Mohammed Shaban has verified that both clubs have successfully wrapped up negotiations for the transfer of this promising goal-scorer, who attracted significant attention during the previous season while playing for Berekum Chelsea.
Kalo Ouattara is preparing to join his new teammates at Asante Kotoko in Kumasi on Monday, as they ready themselves for the upcoming season. Joining him is his fellow teammate Henry Ansu, who has also finalized his move to the Porcupines.
The decisions of both Kalo Ouattara and Henry Ansu to join Asante Kotoko have stemmed from constructive discussions with Berekum Chelsea, aiming to strengthen the squad for the upcoming 2023/24 league season under the guidance of coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Asante Kotoko, former champions of the Ghana Premier League, are scheduled to kick off their preseason preparations on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Beposo Park in the Ashanti Region.
The team’s opening match of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season will be against league returnees Hearts of Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
