According to confirmation from The Athletic, Chelsea has decided to terminate Abdul Baba Rahman’s contract one year ahead of schedule.
The Ghanaian fullback’s contract was initially set to expire next summer, but he will now be allowed to leave the club for free.
However, Chelsea may still receive some form of add-on or bonus payment if Rahman secures a move to another club during this summer transfer window.
Greek top side PAOK has expressed interest in acquiring the services of the talented defender, who spent the last season on loan at English Championship side Reading.
Baba Rahman joined Chelsea in 2015 but has faced challenges in securing a consistent spot in the first team lineup.
