Mas’Ud Didi Dramani, the assistant coach of the Black Stars, has been appointed as the new head coach for Ghana’s Black Meteors team, as confirmed by Sportsworldghana.com.
The official announcement from the football association is imminent, as they have officially parted ways with the former coach, Annor Walker.
Mas’Ud Didi Dramani, who previously served as the head coach of the Ghana National under 17 team, successfully qualified for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan and secured a bronze medal for the team.
He also acted as the assistant coach alongside Otto Addo during the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar, where Ghana finished last in the group stages.
Pending the official announcement, the Ghana Football Association is expected to offer Mas’Ud Didi Dramani a two-year contract for his role as the new head coach of the local senior national team.
The decision to appoint Dramani comes after Annor Walker’s underwhelming performance at the 2023 Africa Nations Championship in Algeria, prompting the football association to take swift action in making changes.
