Relegation threatened Great Olympics relocate to WAFA Stadium in Sogakope

On April 17, 2023, the Competitions Department of the Ghana Football Association granted the request of Accra Great Olympics FC to relocate their home matches to their alternative venue in Sogakope for the remainder of the season.

This decision was made after the club provided reasons for their request, which were carefully reviewed.

At the beginning of the season, the Club Licensing Committee of the GFA approved the Accra Sports Stadium and the WAFA park as the main and alternative venues, respectively, for Accra Great Olympics FC.

However, due to the high cost of playing matches in Accra, the club requested to play their subsequent matches at their alternative venue, prompting the recent decision by the Competitions Department.
