Fit-again Kotoko midfielder Rashid Nortey ready for Berekum Chelsea clash

Asante Kotoko has received a significant injury boost with the return of midfielder Rashid Nortey, who has recovered from an injury that had sidelined him since February.

According to a source, Nortey has been doing well in training since he began last Thursday and could feature in the team’s next game. The former Medeama man had missed seven games for Kotoko since featuring in their stalemate against Nsoatreman.

Having joined the Porcupines in January and scored one goal in five appearances, Nortey will be looking to earn a spot on the team again ahead of their clash with Berekum Chelsea.

However, he may have to work hard to reclaim his place due to the club’s managerial changes. Abdul Gazale, the youth coach, took over following Seydou Zerbo’s dismissal.

Asante Kotoko, who are currently fifth with 39 points after 25 matches, have not given up their title chase. They are five points behind leaders Aduana Stars.
