In the Ghana Premier League, King Faisal Football Club’s new head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, took charge of his first match on Wednesday night against Asante Kotoko.
Despite only having one session with his new team, he managed to guide them to a goalless draw, even though they went down to ten men.
In his post-match interview, Osei-Fosu acknowledged that the game was tough, but he had set his team up to win. Unfortunately, their opponents made it difficult for them to do so.
“It was a difficult game. Considering I had one session with the team. And we also went down by a man down. So we had to defend and not concede. We wanted to win, trust me, we wanted to win. But it’s football,” coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu.
Next up, Osei-Fosu and his team will prepare for their MTN FA Cup quarter-final clash against Aduana Stars on Sunday, April 9th.
