There have been rumors linking former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah to the vacant head coach position at Asante Kotoko.
However, Appiah has refused to acknowledge these rumors and denied being approached by the management of the Ghanaian champions.
“No. Nobody has approached or contacted me for the job,” the ex-Black Stars manager told Ghanasportspage.com.
Coach Seydou Zerbo was recently dismissed from his position following a 2-0 defeat to Medeama in Kumasi, leading to speculation that Appiah could take over.
Although Appiah won ten titles during his ten-year playing career with Asante Kotoko, he stated that he has not been contacted about the coaching job.
Appiah previously served as an assistant coach for Asante Kotoko and was later promoted to head coach in 1995-1996.
He also worked as a coach for the Ghana national team from 2000 to 2001 as part of the technical team of Fred Osam-Duodu.
