Asante travel to the capital to take on Legon Cities at the El-Wak Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon as a new era begin under interim coach Abdul Gazale.

Coach Gazele faces his first major test after management of the club relieved Coach Seydou Zerbo of his duties following the painful 2-0 defeat to Medeama Sporting club on Sunday evening in Kumasi.

Definitely, Kotoko has to play with a greater sense of purpose and determination against a difficult opposition in the Royals.

Legon Cities has been struggling this season, and with relegation staring at them, they will come all out against the PorcupineWarriors.

Kotoko are expected to shake off Sunday’s setback and return to winning ways although they have not been too impressive on the road, but can draw some confidence from their win against Samartex 1996 in their last away win.

They played a 1-1 drawn game when Kotoko hosted Legon Cities in the first round and would like to pick up a win in order to climb up the log as they hope to retain their league title.

Legon Cities have been struggling under former Kotoko coach Maxwell Konadu. They are currently occupying the second position from the bottom of the league table.

A defeat for the Royals on Thursday will deepen their woes as they strive to avoid the drop.

Kotoko top scorer Steve Mukwala is back from international duty with Uganda and will make the Match-day squad for the game.

However, Justice Blay, Dickson Afoakwa, and Rashid Nortey will not be available for selection as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.

Kotoko Probable line-up;

Frederick Asare-GK, Sheriff Mohammed, Mohammed Alhassan, Mohammed Sheriff, Nicholas Osei-Bonsu, Richard Boadu, Enoch Morrison, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Lamptey, Georges Mfegue, Steve Mukwala
