“I swear with my dead father’s coffin, God is punishing Brong Ahafo football people” – Ntow Fianko

Former Division One League Board Chairman, Lawyer Ntow Fianko has taken a swipe at football administrators in the Brong Ahafo Region.

The clubs in the region, he claims, are suffering as a result of their failure to elect the right person to run the Ghana Football Association.

During the 2019 GFA presidential election, the outspoken lawyer was among those who campaigned for George Kwasi Aftiyie, but his favourite candidate lost.

He accused the region’s “football people” of receiving bribes to vote for Kurt Okraku despite the massive assurances they offered to the former GFA vice-president,

“In Brong Ahafo if those who voted will be very sincere to themselves, most of them voted for the current administration. I can tell them the truth. They didn’t vote for George Afriyie. I swear my dead father’s coffin they collected money and voted against him. I know what am saying. The assurance they gave to George Afriyie is not what they did. Most of them voted against him, ” he told Nimde3 FM.

“The late Yakubu told us that he will vote for us if only we give him $2000. He should Rest In Peace.”
