GPL: Match Report – Lions, Great Olympics draw in Accra derby

Accra Lions were held to a pulsating goalless draw by city rivals Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium in match-day 19 of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Premier League debutants played a 0-0 draw on home turf to the Dade boys.

The game seems to be balanced in both halves resulting in a stalemate despite creating scoring opportunities.

Accra Lions hoped to win after sharing the spoils last week against Elmina Sharks at away but Olympics proved to be a tough side.

The draw leaves Accra Lions in the 15th position with 21 points whereas Olympics moves from the 2nd spot to 3rd following Aduana Stars 1-0 win over King Faisal.

Accra Lions have won just one of their last five matches with Olympics winning three from their last five games.
