Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has given a fitness update on trio, Mudasiru Salifu, Fabio Gama and Isaac Oppong.
The Porcupines trek to Accra this weekend to take on Hearts of Oak in the Super Clash and the trio are in contention to make the trip.
Midfielder, Fabio Gama has struggled for fitness throughout the 2021/22 season’s campaign and has made only eight appearances in all competitions for the Porcupines with Isaac Oppong also sitting out for the past nine weeks due to an injury.
Mudasiru, on the other hand, was rested in the club’s last game against Accra Lions and the head coach has given an update on the trio’s fitness level ahead of the crucial game against the Phobians.
“Fabio Gama and Isaac Oppong have already commenced a special training recommended by the club’s medical team,” Narteh Ogum said as quoted by kickgh.com
“We expect them to return to full scale training in the coming days. Mudasiru Salifu wasn’t feeling well ahead of Accra Lions game, we communicated with him to sit out for assessment”
“We hope all the players in the treatment room to recovery fully in time to join the team”
