‘We are in Morocco to win not to qualify only’ – Hearts Of Oak Board Member

Accra Hearts Of Oak Board Member Justice Ivy Heward Mills is optimistic the side will pick a win against Wydad Athletic Club to progress to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

Speaking to Oyerepa FM from Casablanca, the former high court judge indicated that the team is in the North Africa territory to win the return leg of the final preliminary round of the inter-club competition.
The Ghana Premier League champions secured a slim 1-0 win over the Moroccan side in the first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy of Isaac Mensah’s goal in the first half.
The Phobians must record a good scoreline to secure safe passage to the group stage in the second leg.
And Heward Mills insists the board has done everything possible for Samuel Boadu’s charges to win on the day.
“The Board has done all that is necessary, we are in Morocco to win not to qualify only. We have told the boys what we need from them.”
Hearts will be hoping to beat WAC to advance to the next stage after failing for over 12 years.
