Ghana defender Baba Rahman joins Championship side Reading FC

Ghanaian international, Baba Abdul Rahman has switched a loan to English Championship side Reading FC.

The defender joined English giants Chelsea in 2015 but have struggled to get maintained in their first team since joining them.

On the back of several loan spells, Baba Rahman has this summer been sent on a similar one.

After fruitful talks, Reading FC have today announced the acquisition of the Ghana left-back on a season-long loan.

“We are very pleased to confirm that left-back Baba Rahman has joined Reading Football Club on a season-long loan from Chelsea, subject to the normal ratification procedures from the relevant football authorities.

“The 27-year-old has represented the Blues in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as bringing with him top-flight experience in Germany, France, Spain and Greece – and now embarks on a new challenge in Berkshire as a Royal!,” an official statement on the website of the club has said.

Baba Rahman in the past has spent loan spells at Schalke, Stade Reims, RCD Mallorca, as well as PAOK FC.
