2020/21 GPL: Match Report: Samuel Boadu gets perfect start as Hearts Of Oak obliterate WAFA
1 min readCoach Samuel Boadu started his Accra Hearts Oak career on a high as his outfit defeated WAFA 4-0.
The first 20 minutes of the game was evenly contested. WAFA were reduced to 10 men in the 21st minute after skipper Abubakar Ibrahim was shown a straight red after he made a last-man tackle on ppPatrick Razak.
The Phobians took advantage of the numerical advantage and opened the scoring in the 31st minute through Patrick Razak. He connected with a cross from Congolese international Raddy Ovouka to beat the goalkeeper at his near post.
Hearts of Oak made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute, Isaac Mensah beat goalkeeper Sabi Acquah after he was put through by Victor Aidoo.
Raddy Ovouka extended Hearts of Oak’s lead in the 73rd minute, he scored a half volley to make it 3-0.
The Phobians wrapped things up in the dying embers of the game, substitute Michelle Sarpong scored to make it 4-0.
