Head coach of Ebusua Dwarfs, Ernest Thompson-Quartey has indicated that the ongoing Ghana Premier League has been competitive.
The Ghana Premier League was on the decline following the Anas expose which revealed corrupt practices in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Last year’s edition was also truncated due to the Coronavirus disease breakout which has rocked the world.
But outspoken Thompson-Quartey has hailed all the clubs for making the ongoing season among one of the competitive league seasons in Ghana Premier League.
“The league has been very competitive looking at the log. The point-gap between the first team and the last team is not wide, ” he told Kumasi-based Hello FM.
“It tells you that the league has been very competitive so far. All the teams are pushing hard and it has been good so far.
“For now, you can’t stick your neck out to say a particular team will win the league.
“Every team is a contender looking at the league log the points are close.
“So, for now, you can’t say this team will win, we still have a long way to go. About 24 matches left and I think those in the relegation zone can even climb up, ” he added.
The match-day eleven fixtures are scheduled for this weekend across the various venues.
