The Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman has taken time out of her tight officials duties to pay a courtesy call on the Ministry of Sports and Recreation headed by Honourable Kofi Iddi Adams.
During her warm visit, the Vice President who seems enthused with the general out of the Sports and Recreation Minister so far, urged Hon. Kofi Adams to keep the resetting agenda alive in order to develop and enhance Ghana Sports.
It is no secret that the Sports Ministry in previous years did encounter numerous changes whenever a new government takes charge of the ruling of the country.

But the dynamics seem to be changing with time. From 2016 to 2024, only two Ministers were appointed to handle the Ministry.
Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Atwima Mponua Constituency, Hon. Isaac Kwame Asiama and subsequently Hon. Mustapha Yussif led the Sports sector for a period of eight years.
The new regime has also brought on board another Sports Minister. He has spent one year so far in office but most people believe Hon. Kofi Adams is on the right track.
He has worked hard to secure qualification for the Black Stars of Ghana to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup apart from bringing reformation to certain areas in Ghana Sports.
The Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyeman was in his office to add more grease to his elbows.
Knowing the importance Ghanaians attach to Sports especially football, the Vice President wishes to see the Sports Ministry steering affairs of our football to greater heights including the upcoming FIFA World Cup which is of great value to all and sundry.
