‘Talk less and work more’ – Nyaho advises Kurt

1 min read

Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, a former Ghana FA Chairman, has advised the incumbent Kurt Okraku to dedicate less time to talking and focus more on executing his projects for Ghana football, to make his tenure successful.

In a recent interview with GTV Sports Plus, Mr. Okraku listed executed projects like the expanded GFA Technical Directorate, enhanced communications and media relations, investments in the area of women’s football and juvenile football, development of young referees through the Catch-Them-Young refereeing policy and capacity building for coaches as evidence of his administration’s good work so far.

However, the Ghana Premier and Division One Leagues continue to struggle with sponsorship and organisational challenges.

“I have not really studied him much but I will advise him to do less talking and rather do a lot of work,” Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe told Ace Broadcaster Bridget Otoo on Metro TV’s One on One, when he was asked whether Mr. Okraku has so far lived up to expectation.

The Kurt Okraku led GFA is expected to intensify efforts and secure headline sponsors for the above mentioned leagues to generate more funding for the development of the local game, since some clubs still play at venues with poor security and bad pitches, fail to pay players on time but also fall victim to bad officiating.
