According to multiple reports in Ghana, Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has earned a late call-up to be part of the final Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
This comes following the injury to first-choice goalkeeper Joseph Wollacott.
The England-based goalkeeper was missing in action on Saturday when Charlton Athletic played against Burton Albion in the English Football League One.
Unfortunately, he could not play any part in a game he was originally scheduled to start due to a finger injury.
While it was reported that the injury was nothing serious, the latest information gathered indicates that it will see Joseph Wollacott missing the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
However, the medical team of Charlton Athletic is set to conduct a scan on the finger on Monday to ascertain the extent of the injury.
Meanwhile, Ghana is also potentially set to miss experienced goalkeeper Richard Ofori at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Orlando Pirates goalie is also injured and likely to be excluded from the final Black Stars squad.
As a result, sources are reporting that Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has been invited to the camp of the Black Stars in the 26-man squad expected to be announced by head coach Otto Addo on Monday.
