Otto Addo releases Black Stars squad for 2023 AFCON qualifiers

The Ghana FA has released Coach Otto Addo’s 33-man squad for the Black Stars 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar on June 1 and Central African Republic on June 5, and the 4-nation Kirin Cup, which features Japan, Chile and Tunisia.
Rennes winger Kamaldeen Sulemana, Shenzhen FC midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and Reading FC left-back Baba Rahman, who have been absent due to injury make a return to the squad.
Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo, who missed the World Cup qualifying play-off against Nigeria due to injury, has been handed another call-up for the upcoming international assignments.
Ghana Premier League stars Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Hearts of Oak and Augustine Okrah of Bechem United also made the list.
Darmstadt striker Braydon Manu, who granted a controversial interview in September 2021 stating he hadn’t played enough games to merit a call-up for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa, returns to the squad.
Captain Andre Ayew and striker Benjamin Tetteh, who both missed the World Cup qualifying play-off against Nigeria through suspension have been invited.
