‘My name will forever remain in the history books of Asante Kotoko’ – Fabio Gama

Fabio Gama, the Brazilian international, proudly declares that he has etched his name into the illustrious history of Asante Kotoko after playing a pivotal role in the club’s conquest of the Ghana Premier League title.

Gama’s contributions were instrumental as the Porcupine Warriors secured the domestic championship during the 2021/22 season. Prior to their triumph, the two-time African champions had finished behind Hearts of Oak, who claimed the title in the previous 2020/21 season.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanasportspage, Gama emphasized that his name will forever be enshrined in the annals of the Ghanaian giants, thanks to his exceptional performances during his two-year stint.

“We failed during my first season because we were not able to win the trophy and finished second on the league table.

He added, “But we were the champions in the second season so for me I achieved my goal at Kotoko because the club had gone far before winning the Ghana Premier League so I believe that I put my name in the history books of the club forever after winning the trophy. As a member of the 2021/22 Premier champions, the fans will remember name. I believe that and it is very incredible for me”

Currently, the skillful midfielder plies his trade with Bahraini giants Al-Muharraq SC, continuing his football journey beyond his successful stint at Kotoko.
