Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan picks top accolade at SWAG Awards

Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Felix Annan has been crowned the 2019 Sports Writers’ Association of Ghana(SWAG) Footballer of Year (local).
He won the SWAG top award during the 45th edition of the awards, which were rescheduled due to the outbreak of COVID-19 was held at the Alisa Hotel on Saturday, October 10.
Annan beat off competition from former Hearts Of Oak star Joseph Esso as well as ex-Ashanti Gold attacker Shafiu Mumuni.
The Kotoko captain has been impressive in the local scene due to his exploits with Kotoko which landed him Black Stars call-ups.

Meanwhile Black Stars and Crystal Palace attacker Jordan Ayew was also adjudged the footballer of the year (foreign) beating newly-signed Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey and Mubarak Wakaso to the top award.
The 28-year-old was outstanding for Crystal Palace after finishing as the Club’s top scorer last season.
He further bagged three awards at the Club clinching Player’s player of the season, fans player of the season and goal of the season accolades.
