As 2026 FIFA World Cup draws nearer, Ghanaian players abroad are working around the clock to improve their match fitness and form in order to catch eyes of Coach Otto Addo.

Two of such players are Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew and intelligent attacker Fatawu Issahaku.

The Leicester City duo are gradually making waves in the 2025/26 English Championship to the admiration of Leicester City fans.

The left footed attacker, Issahaku has constantly suffered injury setbacks since joining Leicester. This has hindered the massive progress most people tipped him to make in his football career.

Thankfully, he is back to full form and has started showing his exploits with any chance he gets.

In addition to his recent amazing goals, Issahaku was on target when Leicester beat West Brom 2-1 at King Power Stadium in the English Championship on Monday, 5th January, 2026.

His teammate, Jordan Ayew had opened the scoring before Issahaku secured the match winner after West Brom had come on level terms.

Their scoring form excites Ghanaians and the technical staff of Black Stars ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
