Hearts Of Oak’s marksman Daniel Afriyie Barnieh gets Black Stars call up for 2023 Afcon qualifiers

Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, a youth from Hearts of Oak, has been called up to the Black Stars for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and other friendlies.

Barnieh, who will turn 21 next month, got off to a rough start but has been a revelation for the Phobians with his overall performance, particularly in the second half of the season.

He has scored four goals in his previous five games for Hearts of Oak in all competitions, helping them reach the FA Cup final for the second time.

He is one of the local players named to the recent team following Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah, which means he will most likely miss the CHAN qualifiers.
