Fatau Dauda to Asante Kotoko deal collapses

Former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda’s move to Asante Kotoko is off, according to a report by Oyerepa FM in Kumasi.

The 36-year-old was to replac departed Razak Abalora who left the club to join Moldovan top-tier club FC Sheriff Tiraspol last month.

However, Oyerepa FM report that, despite reaching an agreement between the two parties, the club was unable to register the player.

Kotoko and Dauda initially agreed to sign a six-month deal which was going to make the former Black Stars goalkeeper become a backup goalkeeper to Danlad Ibrahim and Kwame Baah.

At the moment, Kotoko has only two goalkeepers who are fit as the club’s third goalkeeper Abdul Rafiu Yakubu who signed for the club late last year from Wa Suntaa is injured.

Footydreamsgh.com is reliably informed that Asante Kotoko will soon register a goalkeeper in the ongoing transfer window who will deputize Kwame Baah and Danlad Ibrahim till Abdul Rafiu returns.
