Chris Hughton brings continuity, advancement to the Black Stars team – Didi Dramani

According to Didi Dramani, Chris Hughton, the new coach of Ghana’s national football team, brings continuity and advancement to the team.

Dramani, who is an assistant coach for the team, expressed his opinion on Hughton’s appointment after the resignation of Otto Addo following the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Hughton, who previously managed Brighton, was appointed last month and will be assisted by Dramani and George Boateng, who also worked under Addo.

Dramani praised Hughton’s ability to bring people together and his openness to considering other viewpoints. He emphasized that Hughton’s unifying approach and ability to bring continuity and progress to the team are more important than his specific coaching philosophy.

“No matter what I talk about his philosophy, it has nothing to do with peoples thought. What I will talk about Chris is that, he is a unifier, brings people together and his openness of other peoples’ view is huge and this alone is of the type of manager he is. He still brings about continuity and advancement of the team” he said.

Hughton and his coaching staff will be unveiled on March 20 ahead of the team’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola. The Black Stars are currently leading Group E with four points, tied with Angola. The team will play Angola on March 23 at Baba Yara Stadium, with the return fixture taking place in Luanda on March 27.
