Black Stars striker Felix Afena-Gyan meets his Science Tutor at SHS in the UK after Leicester, AS Roma draw in UCL

Ghanaian youngster, Felix Afena Ohene-Gyan, met his Senior High School Science tutor at Berekum Presbyterian SHS, Mr. Enoch Adomako, after their UEFA Conference League match against Leicester in the United Kingdom.

When Mr. Adomako, who is now in England, learned that Afena-Gyan was a member of Roma’s team for the game, he went to the King Power Stadium to cheer on his old student.

Afena-Gyan showed great love to his tutor by giving him his replica jersey after the 1-1 stalemate with Leicester City on Thursday evening. He was introduced into the game in the 85th minute.

The young AS Roma impressed on his debut for Ghana, appearing in the high-profile World Cup qualifier match against Nigeria on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Afena-Gyan was all over the place, and his space worried Nigeria’s centre-back duo of William Troost-Ekong and Leon Balogun.

Before accepting the invitation to the World Cup playoff tie against the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Afena-Gyan had turned down two others.

The young man, who was playing lower-tier football in Ghana a year ago, insisted he was not ready.

Afena-Gyan accepted this one because he was prepared, and he proved it in front of a raucous crowd.
