Ghana’s local national team, the Black Galaxies came from a goal down to beat Accra Hearts of Oak 2-1 in a friendly encounter at the Ghanaman Soccer Center in Prampram.

The Phobians went into the halftime break a goal up through youngster Amankwaah Baafi. In the second half, the Galaxies turned the game around, scoring through Bright Adjei of Aduana FC and David Abagna of Real Tamale United (RTU).

The two teams used the friendly game to prepare for their upcoming assignments. Hearts of Oak are preparing for the resumption of the Premier League on Monday, December 19, while the Black Galaxies are preparing for the 2022 TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) to be played in Algeria from Friday, January 13 to Saturday, February 4, 2023.

Ghana has been pitted in Group C for the group stages of the CHAN alongside holders Morocco, two-time bronze winners Sudan and debutants Madagascar.

The Black Galaxies will kickoff their campaign against Madagascar on Sunday, January 15, before playing Sudan on Thursday, January 19 and Morocco on Monday, January 23.
