Asante Kotoko will win 2021-22 GPL title – Abedi Sarfo predicts

Asante Kotoko have been predicted to win the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League this season.

The Porcupines last season challenged for the Premier League title but could not achieve the target to lift the title.

Kotoko after starting the season in dominant fashion saw their form decline. The team lost to rivals Hearts of Oak who were eventually crowned Champions at the end of the season.

However, former Kotoko striker Abedi Sarfo believes the team have the quality to win the upcoming Premier League title after their failure to live up to expectations last season.

“Asante Kotoko will win the league trophy next season,” he said in an interview with Light FM.

“They have allowed some players to leave but I think those that have come in are equally good. I know some of them and have watched their games too”

“Richard Boadu is a good player and he will add a lot of options to Kotoko’s midfield. The young players who have also arrived will be great additions with time.

“I will urge the supporters to have patience with the players. They will have tough times but with positive vibes, they will overcome every obstacle and win the league title at the end for them,” he added.

The Porcupines begin their season with an away trip to Accra to face Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
