All Hearts Of Oak players test negative for COVID-19

The entire Hearts Of Oak team has tested negative for the novel Coronavirus disease ahead of their return leg against Wydad Athletic Club in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League in Morocco on Sunday.

All 44-man contingent including 24 players are COVID-19 free following the mandatory test conducted on Saturday evening.

The Phobians arrived in the North African country on Friday, and have been preparing for the epic encounter at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca on October 24.

The Ghana Premier League champions secured a slim 1-0 win over the Moroccan side in the first leg played at the Accra Sports Stadium courtesy of Isaac Mensah’s goal in the first half.

The Phobians must record a good scoreline to secure safe passage to the group stage in the second leg.

Hearts will be hoping to make it into the group stage after several attempts for over 12 years.
