Former Hearts of Oak star Kofi Kordzi had a debut to cherish for Muaither SC as he scored in the 2-2 stalemate with Al Shahania in the Qatari second-tier league on Thursday.
Al Muaither are yet to record three points from their opening two games in the 2020/21 Qatargas Championship.
After losing 2-0 to Al Shamal in the first match of the season, Muaither were determined to quickly bounce back when they hosted Al Shahania at the Thani bin Jassim Stadiumon on Thursday.
The hosts commenced the game brightly and deservedly went up courtesy a goal from Kofi Kordzi in the 23rd minute.
Muaither however surrendered their lead after five minutes later.
Al Shahania scored their second in the 36th minute to put the score at 2-1 before the break.
The Blues fought back and got their deserving equalizer in the 73rd minute to peg the score at 2-2.
Muaither is currently 7th on the league log.
Kordzi joined the club from Hearts of Oak in a deal reported to be $150,000 last month.
