Andrews Appau confirms talks with Kotoko

Centre-back Andrews Appau has confirmed holding talks with Ghanaian giants, Asante Kotoko.

According to the Bofoakwa Tano defender, he has completed his medical which was successful but that he is yet to sign an official contract.

However, he is expected to join the team’s training camp in Koforidua very soon after completing the transfer process in the coming hours.

Appau, who played for Kumasi-based King Faisal before joining Division One League side Bofoakwa last season indicated that he is ready to fight for a position.

“I have finished with my medicals with Kotoko, will be joining them in Koforidua soon. Am ready for the challenge, praying that all goes well and we will deliver for the club, ” Appau Andrews told Oyerepa FM.

“I have played for King Faisal so I know Kumasi and how the supporters are passionate about the club. I am yet to sign an official contract, ” he added.

Appau was among the second batch of 70 players invited by Coach Karim Zito for Ghana U20 camping last month. 

He also played for Depo Stars – a colts club in Kumasi before joining King Faisal.

Asante Kotoko have already signed Kwame Opoku, Razak Abalora, Yusif Mubarik, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Abdul Latif Anabila, Patrick Asmah, Emmanuel Sarkodie and Evans Adomako Wiredu.
