Ashantigold coach Roberto Landi out of Ghana few weeks to start 2020-21 Ghana Premier League

AshantiGold head coach Roberto Landi has revealed he has been forced to leave the country due to several matters including monetary issues.

The former Liberia coach was appointed as head coach of the Elephants in February but left for his country due to the Coronavirusrestrictions.

The 64-year-old Italian trainer, however, arrived in Ghana last month to begin his stint with AshantiGold.

But according to him, he has left for his hometown because he is not enthused about happenings in the club including monetary issues.

He is requesting for unpaid salaries since he penned the contract but club have refused to honour the demands.

“From last week, I have been in Italy. We need to discuss many things. there are indeed monetary issues but I can’t say much till Champion comes out, ” Roberto Landi told Oyerepa FM.

He was appointed to guide the Obuasi-based side to participate in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup. 

They also aim at competing for the ultimate when the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League campaign starts.
