Footydreamsgh.com can attest that the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana will add another international friendly match to their program before the 2026 FIFA World Cup commence on June 11, 2026.
The GFA and Management Committee of the Black Stars are leaving nothing to chance in their quest to build a formidable side that can withstand and opposition at the FIFA World Cup.
Already, the Black Stars have played two international friendly matches against Austria and Germany losing both.
Ghana shamefully lost 5-1 to Austria and subsequently conceded a 2-1 defeat against Germany. They conceded seven goals and scored two in just two games.
This appalling performance from the team led to the exit of Head Coach Otto Addo and his technical advisor Winfred Schafar.
Veteran coach Carlos Queiroz has taken over the mantle and the GFA are making moves to give him good matches to test his side.
The Black Stars are billed to play co-host nation Mexico on May 22, 2026 to be followed by Wales on June 2, 2026.
Aside these two games the GFA are gritty to arrange another trial match as a top up.
“We will sign a contract soon and make an announcement.” were the words of GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum.
