New Black Stars coach lands in Ghana

Black Stars new gaffer Carlos Queiroz has touched down in Ghana and is expected to be officially introduced to soccer loving Ghanaians by the GFA on Thursday.
The 73 year old coach arrived at the Accra International Airport on the evening of Wednesday, April 22, 2026 to a rousing welcome.

Officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ministry of Sports and Recreation, National Sports Authority and National Supporters Union were gathered in their numbers at the airport to meet the Portuguese international.
Other football loving fans across the length and breath of the country also trooped to the Accra Airport to join the leadership of Ghana Football for the “Akwaaba” ceremony.
Carlos Queiroz is expected to be outdoored tomorrow at the Alisa Hotel and interacts with the press to disclose his immediate plans for the Black Stars in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghanaians are also looking up to the formation of the new Black Stars technical set up now that Carlos Queiroz has made his intention clear to bring on board new technical brains.
