Latest by next week, the senior national team, the Black Stars will get a new coach according to Minister of Sports and Recreation Honourable Kofi Iddi Adams.
“Everything is almost set and by next week we will announce a new coach for the Black Stars” were the words of Honourable Kofi Adams.
The Black Stars of Ghana has been without a head coach since their recent umimpressive outings in their FIFA international friendly matches.
The Stars under coach Otto Addo suffered a total humiliation against Austria (5-1). As if that was not enough, they succumbed 2-1 to Germany in their second consecutive trial match.
These abysmal performances from the team led to the exit of Coach Otto Addo who failed to qualify Ghana for the recent 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
There has been a thorough search for Coach Otto Addo’s replacement by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in conjunction with the Sports Ministry.
Footydreamsgh.com has gathered that three Portuguese coaches with FIFA World Cup experiences – Paulo Bento, Carlos Queiroz and Fernando Santos have been shortlisted. It is possible any one of them may be considered for the vacant position.
