English Premiership giants, Manchester City, is most likely to win the hearts of many Ghanaians football fans following the historic move of Black Stars striker Antoinne Semenyo to the Ethihad Stadium.
The in-form striker has been in amazing scoring form in the English Premier League this season. In his league last game for Bournemouth, Antoinne Semenyo scored a vital goal to give his side a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
That last minute match winner was an icing on the cake for the 26th birthday celebration of the Black Stars attacker.
Bournemouth Manager Andoni Iraola minced no words on Semenyo describing him as a top striker.

“A top professional. We are not [only] losing an incredible player but one of the best players I have ever coached.
“He is a top guy, so full of energy and ready for whatever you need him. I am sure he will continue his development because he has improved every season with us”.
Just a day after that great moment on January 7, 2026, Semenyo successfully had his medicals with Manchester City and sealed a deal with them believed to be around 65 million Pounds.
It is reported that Semenyo will wear the number 45 shirted jersey which was previously used by his West African brother, Yaya Toure, the Ivorian.

Soccer loving Ghanaians are everywhere jubilating over the mouthwatering transfer of Semenyo.
Some have declared their total support for Pep Gurdiola and his men in the remaining EPL matches due to the presence of Semenyo.
In 2004 when Black Stars defensive midfield workaholic, Michael Essien moved from Lyon to Chelsea under Coach Jose Mourinhno, many Ghanaians switched allegiance to the Blues.
When Sulley Muntari also joined Portsmouth in the EPL, he had the strong backing of Ghanaians likewise Asamoah Gyan who also played for Sunderland.
From Ajax to West Ham to Tottenham Hotspur, star boy Mohammed Kudus has also had the unflinching support of Ghanaians.
Semenyo is likely to pull most fans across the Africa continent to the Ethihad Stadium.
