She is passionate and loves the game of soccer having featured for the Black Princesses and Fabulous Ladies before following her passion to become a professional P. E. Tutor and a Licensed Coach.
Sandra Boakye has made history by leading Simms SHS to win the 2023 edition of the inter school Boys Soccer Competition in the Ashanti Region. No female Coach or P. E. Tutor is credited to have led a male soccer team to achieve that feat.
Simms defeated Osei Kyeretwie SHS by 5:4 on penalties after a 1:1 drawn game at the Baba Yara Stadium to make this feat.

Coach Sandra Boakye qualified Simms to the finals of Ashanti Region Inter Schools Competition after 12 years.
Sandra Boakye has written her name in the anals of Ashanti School Soccer and the history of Simms Senior High School becoming the first female Coach to qualify a male soccer Team of a senior high school to the finals of the competition.
Sandra, a professional P. E. Tutor and a Licence B Coach assisted Coach Hamza Obeng (Former Assistant Coach of Hearts of Oak) in 2018/2019 as an intern at Osei Kyeretwie SHS. She was permanently stationed in the Eastern Region before making a transfer to Simms.
Coach Sandra Boakye popular known as “AWUKYE” qualified Simms into finals of the Ashanti Region Inter Schools and Colleges competition for the first time since 2011 when they lost the trophy 2-0 to Adu Gyamfi senior high school.

Sandra attained his licence B coaching certificate at age 20 when she was at level 300 at the University of Education.
She represented Ghana u20 team, the Black Princesses at the 2016 Papua new Guinea womens World Cup.
