Kotoko in talks with Gold Stars for striker Prince Kwabena Owusu – reports

Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko has officially reached out to Bibiani Goldstars FC for the services of forward Prince Kwabena Owusu in the ongoing transfer window.
The Porcupine Warriors are keen on correcting the wrongs of last season, which turned out to be a season that promised so much but delivered nothing in terms of silverware.
According to sources within the Kumasi-based club, the Interim Management Committee has opened contract talks with fellow top-flight side Bibiani Gold Stars for their clinical striker, Prince Kwabena Owusu.
The 25-year-old was instrumental for the Miners when they joined the Ghana Premier League in the 2021/22 season, leading the side to remain in the league.
He was very influential when the Gold Stars secured promotion for the first time in the club’s history from Division One to the Premier League.
He bagged in 19 goals while supplying assists in the Division One League Zone II to help his team.
However, he could not replicate that in the 2022–23 season, as he managed to chip in only two goals.
The striker nearly joined the Aduana Stars last year, but the deal hit a snag, and he later extended his stay with the Gold Stars by two years.
