‘If you think Akanbi and I are destroying Hearts of Oak, bring evidence’ – Angry Sowah Odotei dares

Vincent Sowah Odotei, a board member of Hearts of Oak, has strongly defended himself and his colleague Alhaji Akambi against accusations of being responsible for the club’s troubles.
Both of them have faced consistent criticism from fans in recent years, with poor recruitment decisions and the frequent sacking of coaches being attributed to their actions.
However, Odotei is vehemently challenging those who accuse them of damaging the club, demanding concrete evidence to support their claims.
In an interview with Oyerepa FM, he stated, “Anybody at all can wake up and say we are destroying the club, give evidence, back it with evidence,” he said.
He further challenged those who believe he and Akambi are the problem at Hearts of Oak to demonstrate their claims with tangible proof.
“All those who say Odotei and Akambi are the problem of Hearts of Oak must bring evidence and demonstrate that we are the problem of Hearts of Oak.
He firmly pointed out that they were appointed by the club’s owner (the king) who would not invest his money and entrust them with responsibilities if they were mismanaging the club.
“The king himself has said he is not stupid to invest his money and put us in place [to mismanage].”
The board members have faced scrutiny for the team’s performance, but they have managed to avoid relegation from the Ghana Premier League by securing a draw against Berekum Chelsea on the final day of the season.
