Kasim Ocansey Mingle, the newly appointed head coach of Nations FC, has expressed his intention to complement the efforts of Johnson Smith, who led the team to promotion to the Premier League.
Mingle officially joined the club last week and will be supported by Johnson Smith, the coach responsible for guiding the team to the Ghanaian top-flight.
On Tuesday, Mingle, who previously coached Bechem United and Great Olympics, wasted no time and began pre-season training alongside his assistant.
During his address to the players, Mingle emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation in achieving the club’s goals for the upcoming season.
“I am here to complement Johnson Smith’s efforts, so I urge you to give me the same level of cooperation you gave him. We need unity among the players. Smith is not just a friend but my brother, as we have been together for a long time. Our relationship has evolved from friendship to brotherhood,” Mingle stated.
He further emphasized the importance of having multiple technical minds in the team, as it would help overcome any challenges they might face. Mingle assured the players that he and Johnson Smith would provide their expertise to support the team’s success.
Mingle’s previous coaching stint with the Hunters resulted in a commendable third-place finish in the 2022/23 Premier League season.
