Medeama dominate as GFA announce 2022/23 betPawa Premier League Team of the Season

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the standout performers in each position for the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League season.

The selection process was conducted by former Black Stars goalkeeper Abubakari Damba, who assembled a team using a 4-3-3 formation. Damba named Augustine Evans Adotey as the Coach of the Season for guiding Medeama to their first-ever Premier League title.

In goal, Medeama’s Felix Kyei earned the spot for his impressive performances, having recorded the highest number of clean sheets with 15 throughout the season.

The defensive line consists of Emmanuel Kottei from Nsoatreman, Stephen Anokye Badu representing Aduana, and Medeama’s Vincent Atinga and Fatawu Hamidu.

The midfield trio comprises Seidu Dauda from Samartex, Manaf Umar of Real Tamale United (RTU), and Michel Otou representing Legon Cities.

For the attacking positions, Jonathan Sowah of Medeama, Abednego Tetteh from Bibiani GoldStars, and Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United were chosen based on their outstanding performances throughout the season.

The announcement of these exceptional players recognizes their contributions to their respective teams and highlights their remarkable skills and talent demonstrated during the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League campaign.
